One of the things that we discovered while researching automated washout systems is that many of the companies performing commercial washouts are not in compliance with JPA washout requirements. This lack of compliance took on many forms, some as serious as performing foodgrade and chemical washouts in the same bay, to less obvious violations such as the use of open topped tanks and boilers or pumps that allow for cross contamination. Even more surprising was the discovery that many of these companies knowingly misrepresent their washouts, exposing their customers to liability.
Even when tanker companies are aware of this noncompliance, they often find themselves between a rock and a hard place. On one hand they have a list of requirements for properly sanitizing their tanks, and on the other no one capable of adequately meeting these requirements. When faced with the choice of going out of business or settling for what is available to them, companies are forced to expose themselves to additional liability. Well now you have another choice.
In order to provide you with a washout that is 100% JPA compliant, our system has been constructed using both JPA and 3A guidelines. All of our piping is 3A approved sanitary piping. Our tanks, boiler and pumps are also 3A approved. Our wash head is self-rinsing and is certified by the USDA. All of the cleaning products used in the washout process have been approved by the USDA and are Kosher certified. Last but not least we chart all of our washouts and perform a swab test to insure proper sanitization.
Last but certainly not least, all valves, gaskets, pump assemblies and hoses are cleaned as part of our CIP system. This means that they are exposed to the same conditions as the rest of your tank guaranteeing their proper sanitization.
